mindfulness - The Breathing Space
You don’t have to hold Your breath during the pandemic
Whether your mind is somewhere else, in a conversation that hasn’t happened, stuck in the past or feeling anxious about the future, mindfulness and focusing on your breath has the power to pull you back to the present. When we are stressed, the first thing we do is hold our breath, but it doesn’t have to be like that.
In mindfulness practice, we are learning how to return to, and remain in, the present moment—to anchor ourselves in the here and now on purpose, without judgement.
Seeing first-hand the profound effect mindfulness can have on pretty much every aspect of health and wellbeing has been a game changer for me and can be for you too. My lockdown was both manageable and a source of ongoing learning in the development of a resilient mindset, which is crucial in uncertain and impermanent times.
The Breathing Space offers hands-on mindfulness practice, breathing exercises, short guided meditation and practical techniques, that can be easily and immediately integrated into everyday life, whether you are a beginner or already have some experience.
